Sorry for any confusion but CARS had been granted GB100MWT by Ofcom for the past 4 years because of Marconi related events 100 years ago.

However, Ofcom have pointed out that we are not a Museum open to the public on a continuous basis and therefore would not allocate it for 2013.

We therefore have to resort to our Club Call-Sign – GX0MWT for 2013.

We will however hope to be granted use of the 100 year Call-sign for 2014 to commemorate the sinking of the Empress of Ireland with the loss of 1012 lives when the Wireless Operator who sent out the SOS distress message was CARS late President, Roy Ferguson, G4VF.
